Because of nearness to the track i.e. because of the location of the hotel directly at the ski track:

Clipping on the skis directly in front of the hotel and you are ready for the track and the cross-country ski trails. A small nap in the afternoon? No problem, if you are staying in the middle of the ski area.

For over 60 years now, the Tauplitzalm is famous as the winter sport location and was fitted with one of the world's first tow-lift system in the year 1936. A few national and international top skiers emerged here in these years.

Today, the area of Tauplitz/Tauplitzalm has more than 15 tow-lifts, 3 four-chair lifts, one six-chair lift, the strongest cable car of Styria and the best prepared tracks till the valley Moreover, just in front of the hotel, you enter the cross-country ski trail tested in the world cup (national teams, Olympic winners and champions are our guests).

The "mountain pasture", as it is called by the residents here, is known as "snow hole" and it is not rare that 3-4 metres of natural snow covers the area. One can rightly call the Tauplitzalm as extremely snow-reliable. Despite this, a snow-making facility was set up for all cases.

Only at our hotel do you stay right in the middle of the ski area: Car-free

There is no car traffic. Our guests are picked up from the collective parking place of Hollhaus with tracked vehicles and are brought to the hotel.

You will certainly find in our ski packages things like “Snow crystal weeks", "Firn weeks" or the "Ski-Countdown".

We also support the ski school "Bratschko" Every afternoon, a ski teacher is present in our hotel for questions or wishes.
