A summer with us in the hiking region of Tauplitzalm means...

Getting up after a pleasantly cool night in the hotel "Alpenrose", having a view of the surrounding mountains and lakes of the high plateau of Tauplitzalm, stretching out at the balcony, the pleasant jingling of the cowbells in the ears.

Then an ample refreshment in our rich breakfast menu, and the discussion, what is to be experienced or discovered on this day.

You will hardly be disturbed by cars, because the Tauplitzalm is to a large extent a low-traffic zone i.e. only the authorised persons (naturally also our boarding guests, suppliers, etc.) are allowed to use the road on the high plateau. That is, the Tauplitzalm is an ideal hiking region.

You are already at a height of 1600 m. No more approach roads.

By the way, you are also not disturbed by ticks or dust mites, these are no longer there at this height above sea level.

Hiking at the high plateau of the "mountain pasture" is possible for everyone. No steep rises, instead, if you wish, excursions over soft ground for hours. Naturally, you can also scale the surrounding mountains, which are waiting to show you their glorious panorama over the Salzkammergut till far in the Ennstal.

6 crystal-clear mountain lakes with drinking water quality are in our neighbourhood and invite you to hike, also to bathe for the hardy characters. For a lot of guests, who spend their holiday at our place with their dog, these mountain lakes are a blessing, since the dogs can also swim in them.

We also look forward to your visit in our restaurant "Alpenrose", where you can try out the delicacies from our rich menu card. In our kitchen, we exclusively use fresh, seasonal products, if possible, from producers from our neighbourhood, which we prepare with a lot of love and care.

Or you can decide to go in for one of our pastries.

A fresh, homemade apple or cheese strudel, for which we are very well known.

In the evening again an excellent 4-course menu from our kitchen, and the day at a comfortable gossip and a glass of wine from our extensive wine cellar will sound just like a perfect holiday should sound.

By the way: Both of us, Brigitte and Gerhard, are personally present while cooking.
